Orange Cake Super Moist – Kuglof

This cake contains soft, delicious and moist characteristics. It’s one of the best kuglof (kugelhopf) recipes ever and has become a specialty in our households. Preparation is easy using simple ingredients and requires no complicated steps. Tradition is to enrich this cake using dried fruits and lemon or orange zest.

Ingredients:

4 eggs
150 g sugar
1 bag vanilla sugar
200 g room temperature butter
lemon zest
1 tbsp rum
1 squeezed orange juice
1 squeezed lemon juice
1 tbsp honey
80 g dried apricots
250 ml milk
400 g flour
1 bag baking powder
1/4 tsp salt

1. In a large bowl beat the eggs with sugar and vanilla sugar using hand mixer.

2. Mix in the butter (softened). Add lemon zest, rum, orange juice, lemon juice, honey, dried chopped apricots and milk. Mix again. Add flour combined with baking powder and salt, and blend all using dough hooks.

3. Pour the blend in a baking mold and bake in preheated oven at 180 °C for 60 minutes.

Remove the mold and garnish cake with orange slices and icing sugar.

Salty Sticks With White Wine | Pijani Šarafi

This simple recipe for crispy salty sticks is easy to make and it’s perfect for party and other special occasions. You can’t stop eating them once you start because they are absolutely delicious and addictive. Ingredients are classic but white wine is added to improve taste and crispness even more. This spiral shaped sticks are great served alone or with a dip or cheese.
If you’ve never tried freshly homemade breadsticks, it’s time for you to give them a go!

Ingredients:

500 g flour
1 bag baking powder
200 ml oil
200 ml white wine
2 tsp salt
1 egg
sesame
chia seeds

1. In a large bowl stir flour and baking powder. Add oil, white wine, salt and egg. Stir using spoon until starts to form into a dough. Knead dough for 7 minutes, or until smooth.

2. Roll out the dough on a flat floured surface into a rectangle.

3. Use a pizza wheel to cut out strips and brush them with beaten egg. Sprinkle sesame and chia seeds. Twist each strip to form a spiral shape and place on the prepared baking sheet. Egg brush again.

4. Bake in preheated oven at 200 °C for 16 minutes.
